Indian gurus ask not to forget the emotional aspects of yoga
We do not tire of considering this practice as beneficial for the mind, however the daily hustle and bustle does not allow us to focus too much on this aspect and what prevails in the yoga sessions of the gyms is to get the asanas and work, in the end, the body. It seems that the effects of meditation on the mind are rather secondary, the product of a good physical development of the asanas. That is why Indian gurus insist on remembering that both things must go hand in hand, body and mind, and that the mental complexity is much greater than we are conceding in our practice. According to them, we must involve our personality in meditation to the point where this state of mind affects our emotional, social, spiritual and mental aspects.
